17. The local concern that it is of importance to me is the criticism that is taken upon  Castle Park High because this school is more advanced than the other schools in the district. We have a superior I.B. program than other schools, we have better API scores and yet little incidents the media takes them and transforms it into a big deal and it is very disappointing because sooner or later the Parents or guardians that have children in middle schools are going to say that this school is not safe and we are going to start loosing students while  they are going to schools were they don't have a better International Baccalaureate program.
What is amazing is that Castle Park High has recently  won a NASA grant from our robotics club and yet they do not publish it on the media; why is that? is it that they don't want us to look superior than other schools or is it that they know that we have a superior academic student body and they are trying to prevent   the public from knowing what the name of Castle Park High School stand for.
